There are a few options for you to arrange Ski hire. There is no “best” option as it depends on your travel plans, your time of travelling and the number in your family or group. We would like to give you the following options so you can choose which best suits your plans.

  • Cooma
Rhythm Snow Sports are in Cooma where it’s easy to stop and park on the way through and get all you need from them. Mention that you are staying at Corroboree and you will receive a 10% discount. • Smiggin Holes
Snowline Ski Centre is in Smiggins which is a few minutes on a free shuttle bus down the road from Perisher. You can drop you gear off to Corroboree and then catch the free Shuttle to Smiggins to collect you hire equipment. Again, mention that you are staying at Corroboree and you will receive a 20% discount. This saves you having to carry ski gear with your luggage on arrival. However, it does mean that you have to come to Corroboree and then go out to get your hire equipment. The benefit of hiring on the mountain is that they are conveniently close if there is a problem with any equipment. Please note that Oversnow transfers to get the ski equipment are not included in our Tariff. Snowline’s website has more details. Go to https://rhythmsmiggins.com.au/

Harro’s Snowsports is located in the Lake Crackenback Resort which is only 1 minute from the base of the Skitube terminal. All Perisher’s ticketing system uses RFID technology. This means that the “Ski Ticket” is now a plastic card similar to a credit card and that, after you have your “Card”, all ticket transactions are to be done on-line. You can pre-purchase your “Card” on the Perisher Website and pick them up when you are in Perisher. You can then go online to “top up” the card as required so you no longer have to visit the ticket office.

Don’t over pack. We are a very casual lodge. You wear your ski gear all day so all you need is some comfortable clothes to wear for dinner and apres dinner.

Some people wear track suit pants and Ugg boots or slippers for breakfast and comfy jeans and shirt for dinner.

Corroboree is comfortably and warm, so you don’t need any jumpers inside.

It’s a good idea to bring your own afternoon snack for the kids. Kids are often hungry when come in from a day on the snow. We serve dinner for the kids at about 6pm so it might be a good idea to have your own snack for them at 4.30 – 5pm (2 minute noodles, biscuit, something that you would usual give them at home)

We try to encourage the guests leave the kids electronics at home. We have a lounge full of games and over 500 DVDs. They can build cubby houses and play with the other kids.

Please note that we do not allow any electronics in the dining area. We enforce this for the children and we politely request that all adults also comply.

Children play in the snow. It’s fun to build a snowman but gloves get very wet. It’s a good idea to bring 2 pairs of gloves for the children. They can wear one while the other pair are drying.

Ski school is often booked out. It’s a good idea to book online early to ensure that you can secure the package that best suits you.
